Handcrafted, Precision, and a Process That Works

Copper, Brass, Bronze, and Steel

Copperado is a small shop with a simple goal: build metalwork that feels alive in the space. Railings that feel right in the hand. Hoods people notice before anything else. Doors that open with weight and intention.

We don’t pull from a catalog. You bring the idea, and we shape it into something real. The same person who answers the phone is the one building your piece, so nothing gets lost or watered down.

Over the years, we’ve dialed in a workflow most shops never figure out. It keeps us fast without cutting corners. Most projects leave our shop in a matter of weeks, built by hand with the kind of detail you can see up close.

We work in copper, brass, bronze, and steel. Materials that last. Materials that age well. Materials that give a space its presence.

The Copperado Difference

Built Fast and Built Smart

After decades of hands-on fabrication, we’ve dialed in a workflow most shops never crack. Mistakes, bottlenecks, and do-overs got engineered out along the way. Every step, from drawings, to material prep, to finishing, is built for speed and quality control. That’s why we can deliver custom metalwork in weeks instead of months. You get lasting pieces that fit and pieces that show up when your project actually needs them.

Skill Built from Consistancy

Our work stands out because we’ve spent years refining it. We study old-world methods, experiment with new techniques, and push our tools until they feel like extensions of our hands. Our metalwork has a felt presence, clean lines, tight welds, balanced proportions, and finishes that age the way metal should. Every piece carries the benefit of everything we’ve learned, failed at, improved, and perfected.

Collaboration That Works

We build with your design in mind, not ours. You bring the vision, and we translate it into metal that fits the space, installs clean, and impresses your clients. No catalog. No guessing. No disappearing after the deposit.
We stay in it with you — from first sketch to final installation — because the better your project turns out, the better our work speaks for itself.

Our Story

A Broader Approach to Metalwork

For over a decade, we built our reputation as Rod & Forge, crafting steel railings and architectural metalwork with precision and reliability. As our work evolved and our passion for handcrafted metals expanded into copper, brass, and bronze, we introduced Copperado to reflect the full scope of what we now create.

We continue to build exceptional steel pieces and railings alongside elevated architectural projects in non-ferrous metals, bringing thoughtful design, material mastery, and a collaborative experience to every project.

Rod & Forge laid the foundation. Copperado carries it forward with expanded materials and vision.

Hello from the Owner

I’ve worked with metal for more than two decades. Before opening my own shop, I spent years in fabrication environments cutting, bending, and welding steel day after day. That work built discipline, accuracy, and the ability to deliver under pressure.

More than ten years into running my own shop, a single request changed the direction of my work. A client asked if I could build something in copper and brass. The moment I worked with those metals, something clicked. The way they move under heat, the care they demand, and the character they develop felt different. While many fabricators avoid non-ferrous metals, I was drawn to them.

That request set a new path. I studied traditional techniques, explored new approaches, and refined a workflow that allows me to create high-end architectural metalwork with both speed and precision.

As the work evolved, so did the focus of the shop. Copper, brass, and bronze became central to what I create, not as a departure from steel and railings, but as an expansion of the craft itself. Working across these materials sharpened my skills and raised the standard and quality of every piece that leaves the shop.

Today, I continue to build steelwork and railings while intentionally blending materials, if needed or requested, to suit each project. What drives me is simple: turning raw metal of any kind into pieces that make a space feel intentional and alive.

I stay hands-on from the first conversation to the final install. Every piece is built by hand, built with care, and built to stand for decades.

Some projects call for more than metal alone. For work that blends custom metal with fine woodworking, we collaborate closely with our sister company,

Drala specializes in handcrafted woodwork built with the same attention to detail and care we apply to metal. When a project benefits from both disciplines, this collaboration allows for better coordination, cleaner installs, and a more cohesive final result..
